The Spice Girls Bond Over Moses Baskets and Babies
Now celebrities Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown and Emma Bunton have more to talk about and bond over than ever before. For more years than they may care to recall they have been tied together in one manner or another. They toured together, fought together, and reunited all over the course of more than one decade. The relationships they have established seem to be destined to withstand the test of time. And now, they can add one more link to strengthen their bonds. All can share tales of not only raising babies, and all of the things that go along with that, but now each can share their insight on specifically raising girls. While each of them is now mother to multiple children, there is no need for discussing the usefulness of Moses Baskets, the benefits of cloth diapers, or when reliance on a pacifier should be stopped. They have those basics down pat.
Together they have enough children to start a team Spice. But, it is Emma, whose eldest child is a girl named Beau, who can instruct Victoria as to what to expect since Victoria has only just become the proud parent of a little girl named Harper Seven. And Melanie is the mother of two daughters named Phoenix Chi and Angel Iris, so she can lead the discussion panel regarding the differences that parents encounter when raising the two sexes.
One can only imagine all of the conversations that have been held amongst the three of them regarding babies since Melanie became the first Spice Girl to have one back in February of 1999. In the years that have followed, and the many births, much critical information will undoubtedly have been exchanged, but one thing has remained constant, Victoria only had male kids.
As members of an all girl band, it must have been a bit odd for Victoria to be surrounded by so much testosterone. Especially when her band mates were busy molding their little girls into future mini versions of themselves. Able to connect on a different level then Victoria was possibly able to with her many boys. Sadly, purchases for her children will never have included frilly designer dresses, handmade dolls, or much in the way of sweet princess themes.
Luckily, she can once again use one of the Moses baskets, but this time it can be lined with girlie patterns, and pink blankets. Later on Harper can pull out some of Brooklyn, Cruz and Romeo’s Duplo toys and even learn to stack the building blocks with the best of them. However, on balance a great deal of shopping, and girl time with the Spice mommies and their daughters should be anticipated. Certainly, like the girl’s song says, they can expect to be Friends Forever.
